About

Well hello photo of me
Kerrie here, the Alchemist behind the Salvage. Thanks for stopping by!
No sorcery here...just an obsession with paint, wallpaper, decoupage, hardware and bespoke finishes. Although, I must admit, the transformations are indeed magical.
More often than not, I don't follow the rules. To me, they're made to be broken, or side-stepped...unless of course, it's a grouping of objects and then I'm definitely a 3, 5 or 7 kinda girl. Aesthetically, I'm an eclectic...grounded in taking chances, being brave with my choices and sometimes going against the grain. I embrace the worn, weathered and often discarded. Bouncing between Boho and minimalist, MidCentury and Industrial to Rough Luxe and all the way to Maximalist. There really isn't a style I don't love...well, there is, but hey, no judgement, you just won't find me creating it (picture chicken wire, hearts and ribbon). Rescuing and reviving furniture destined for the tip or charity shop gives me life...and saves Mother Earth in a small but worthy way too.

Using specialist techniques and a wide range of paint & finishes such as Fusion Mineral Paint, Dixie Belle Paint, General Finishes, Autentico and Wise Owl Paint, Lick and COAT paints, I ensure that your furniture is finished to an impeccably high standard so that it lasts for many years to come and continues to tell it's stories.

Despite being a one-woman show, I'm also a one-stop shop. I offer a fully bespoke service from initial enquiry to final delivery of a commissioned furniture piece. If a piece is a little worse for wear, I can often make minor repairs/alterations and can provide some simple reupholstery.

Up for being brave?

Check out my gallery and perhaps you'll find that one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that speaks to you...and if nothing is screaming your name, don't worry. I can use what you have, source a particular piece or we can create a bespoke piece from my ever-increasing furniture hoard.
